May Dancers of the Month!

Dancers of the Month are company B members recognized for earning merits by attending additional classes, helping backstage, and much more! Congratulations to May’s Dancers of the Month. We’re so proud of all your hard work!

 

SarahSarah Matney (Blitz) has earned additional merit points by assisting teachers in classes for younger dancers in addition to her own regular weekly dance schedule.  She is 12-years-old and a 6th grader at JL Long. She’s been dancing for 10 years and has been a member of company B for 4 years.  Her favorite dance memory is performing “Circus” at her first competition.  Sarah loves being part of company because she is challenged and has more opportunities to perform! Her dance goals for this year include perfecting her left splits and improving in tap and ballet.  We’re so proud of you, Sarah, and keep up the good work!

 

 

cate-close-upCate Nelson (Majors) has earned additional merit points by attending extra technique classes on top of her regular weekly dance schedule.  She is 11-years-old and a 6th grader at JL Long. She’s been dancing for 7 years and has been a member of company B for 4 years.  Her favorite dance memory is performing at a Dallas Mavericks games.  Cate loves being part of company because she enjoys all the dance challenges! Her dance goal for this year is to perfect her triple pirouette on her right side.  We’re so proud of you, Cate, and keep up the good work!

 

 

tn-1Anna Weis (Majors) has earned additional merit points by attending extra technique classes on top of her regular weekly dance schedule.  She is 11-years-old and a 6th grader at JL Long. She’s been dancing for 6 years and has been a member of company B for 1 year.  Her favorite dance memory is performing at a Dallas Mavericks game this past February.  Anna loves being part of company because while she’s having fun, she’s learning a lot! Her dance goals for this year include perfecting her foutte turns, her needle, and calypso leap.  We’re so proud of you, Anna, and keep up the good work!
